What are common supports in LEC?

hello!

I've been reading about LEC tools (the Cadence Conformal Tool), and in the user guide, they say that non equivalent points are grouped based on common supports.
It is not explained what supports or common supports are.
Can someone please explain what they are?
There are also mentions of DFF supports. I'm not able to understand what they are and I googled and couldn't find anything.

I would appreciate the help.
