8000Vs and rather large, do you need such a high voltage?

Those caps are likely damaged due to improper storage conditions and it seems highly unlikely they will perform anywere near their claimed specs.
 

As they're not electrolytic, that's one possible failure mode side-stepped.

But, IMHO, if you're playing with such voltages, don't risk it. Buy the 'good stuff', and install with due care lest the 'magic smoke' escape...
