Hi Team,

I am planing to build a robot for robot competition

Following are the parts i am going to use

AMTGA 328p Microcontroller at 20MHz
N20 12v 600RPM Chines Motor
TB6612FNG Motor Driver
5 Sensor array ( QTRC )
18650 3.7v x 2 Battery Total Voltage is 7.4v

I am planing to use Step up voltage regulator to supply 12v for motors

For the testing I used LM2577 ADJ regulator for my prototype but when battery voltage drooped the output of the Regulator also drooped even battery voltage 7v

It would be much appreciated if nay one can advise a good step up regulator for my design

Thanks in advanced

What is the current rating of the 12v DC motor and how many numbers are used?

Thanks for the reply
voltage 12 V
no-load performance 640 RPM, 60 mA
stall extrapolation 0.39 kg⋅cm (5.4 oz⋅in), 0.75 A
Gear Ratio 30:1

Two Motors are using

From your spec , the load current is well within 2577 capability.
post the circuit schematic of the designed 2577 reg with comp values to ascertain the possible problems.
