    Dear All,
    What the smallest unit accessible in an FPGA for realising hardware? I mean the smallest hardware unit programmable in FPGA through HDL of any Vendor specific Primitives.

    Hi,
    Logic gates are the deepest you can go. Individual transistors aren't.

    This is not generally true. You can instantiate a LUT that implements a gate, but not an actual gate.

    You probably don't get it. LUT's are basically a network of multiplexers that route up signals that are either tied to GND or to Vcc. Multiplexers themselves are above gate level. They are a combination of logic gates.

    The deepest you can go is gate level as there's no transistor level implementation associated with FPGAs.
