Hi, I'm confused about this basic problem, I have a single patch antenna in CST, but I am not quite sure about E plane and H plane of this antenna, is E plane the YOZ plane and H plane the XOZ plane? is that correct?
Thank you for your reply in advance. problem.PNG

If the patch is operating in the fundamental mode your planes are correct. Study the discussions in a patch antenna reference to gain a better view of want is going on. This designation is convenient when it comes to discussing the radiation patterns. The first time I encountered the E and H plane descriptions was with a waveguide fed horn antenna. It made a bit more sense in that context.
