Hello,
In the Philips 75W Xitanium SR LED driver, what should be connected in to the SR+ and SR- terminals of the connector? (page 1 of datasheet)
Is it an external device which needs powering from the SR+ and SR- terminals , or is it an external device which provides a powered DALI bus into the SR+ and SR- terminals?

Also, for the following Philips Xitanium LED driver, page 3 of its datasheet shows DALI terminals on its connector. Are these terminals for connecting a powered DALI bus into the product?…….or are these terminals for connecting an unpowered DALI device to the product? (which then receives the powered DALI bus from the product)

Are we in the LED driver business or is it you? The question is clearly answered in Philips product literature and application notes, e.g. the "Xitanium SR Indoor LED Drivers Design-in Guide". SR stands for "sensor ready", connect DALI sensors like a wireless control receiver without the need of an additional power supply.

Sensor Ready (SR) is a two wire interface to a wireless connection, typically Zigbee but any can be used, including a full internet connection. Think of it as DALI by wireless.

…states (in as many words), that a DALI_device_needing_power_from_the_LED_driver can be connected to the SR+,SR- terminals of the Philips SR LED drivers.

The thing is, we also want to know whether or not a DALI_device_that_provides_power_for_the_DALI_bus can also be connected to the SR+,SR- terminals?

We need to know this because some of our customers want to connect a DALI_device_needing_power_from_the_LED_driver , and some customers want to connect a DALI_device_that_provides_power_for_the_DALI_bus.
We would like to find a LED driver which allows both these types of DALI device connections. It is extremely difficult to find one like this. Do you know of one?

We are also not sure whether the following FP series xitanium LED driver can accept a DALI_device_needing_power_from_the_LED_driver , or whether it needs a DALI_device_that_provides_power_for_the_DALI_bus…..
Xitanium FP series LED driver:

SR Design-In Guide safety precautions advises you to turn the power supply off when SR device is used as a standard DALI driver, achieved by a software tool. Don't know if it's necessary under all conditions.

Obviously standard DALI LED drivers don't expose a power supply, it's not provided by the standard and would be indicated by additional specification parameters like current capability.
