Hello,

What is the difference between fixed, variable and total capacitance in Cadence Virtuoso captab option ?

I know fixed is linear, variable is nonlinear.

But which is the correct one to use for hand calculation and so on and what do they mean.

Thank you.

Understand things correctly.

There is no such function in in Cadence Virtuoso

I know fixed is linear, variable is nonlinear.

If you mean "info what=captab" analysis in Cadence Spectre, "Sum" is total capacitance.

Thank you.

Cadence Spectre is the correct term I believe.

I understand it lists the total capacitance but what are the other two ?

What do they mean physically ?
