Hello everyone,

I'm using TSMC 180. I have an area with lots of photo diode where I don't want any metal to be auto filled in. I know there is a blocking layer for this purpose, but I cannot find it. I searched "blk" and only found ODBLK and POBLK. Can anybody give me a hint on this layer? Or please give me some suggestion on finding a document for all the layer definations. Thanks.

I just found it. It's called MDEXCL and there are 6 of them for metal 1 to 6

Depending on the technology, you will also find via exclusion layers that serve the same purpose.
