...But doesnt say obselete......as Klaus said, the Richtek site is the one to go for.

RT7736 looks liek a nice part but doesnt seem to have a proper datasheet.....very odd

.. i mean, why does the startup circuit connect to the AC line?
What is the startup current....datasheet doesnt say....very odd

datasheet also doesnt say the current sense threshold voltage.
