[SOLVED] is this a safe method to charge 18650 cells

Is it fine to charge 2 18650s in paralel with a 2 amp 4.1v cc source buck converter without automatic shutoff?

Would cells be damaged/destroyed if left connected to dc converter for a great duration longer after they reached 4.1v?

It seems fine since the buck converter will not go beyond the set voltage and current will simply decrease once the cells can no longer take charge.

Right; but the current sharing may not be equal by the two cells. This is particularly important if the two cells being charged are (i) different makes (ii) different capacities or (iii) in different states of charge/discharge.

This may be partly corrected with the use of equalizing resistor...
