hello dear forum,

I want to measure CO2 in greenhouses

can you recommend a professional quality CO2 sensor ?

suited for this application

thank you

Traditionally CO2 is measured by IR absorption (IR spectroscopy) but there are sensors available for CO2 but they need calibration /standardization regularly. For a quick check, these are very convenient and a number of companies sell them. Perhaps a quick google may be of help!

Professional quality CO2 sensors will exclusively use NDIR measurement principle.

Right; but if you are going for the expensive way, select one that uses dual beam (with one channel dry and CO2 free nitrogen only)- they tend to be rather delicate but but can last ages with care.

But unless you are in a scientific or research lab, greenhouse CO2 measurements need not be very accurate. If I remember correctly, higher CO2 conc will promote weed growth whereas lower CO2 will hamper plant growth. You just need to stick to the middle...

The most convincing argument for NDIR sensors is lifetime respectively total cost of ownership. The SST NDIR sensors linked by volker@muehlhaus are examples of modern NDIR sensors, price is not much above electrochemical sensor range.
