i'm doing a project on designing a logarithmic adder/subtractor unit using look up table partitioning technique . for this purpose i took two 8 bit numbers X , Y . here what LUT size i must use in verilog for computing logarithmic addition function logb(1+b^-(X-Y) . i have to partition in such a way that 2 LUT'S compute addition and 2 LUT'S compute subtraction function logb(1-b^-(X-Y).
