Dear All Have a nice Day!

The attached path for the our school robot competition. My robot is following path correctly but object detection and pick & place not working

The task is robot should follow the line and pick the object and it should place correct location base on object color

please advice how should i manage detect the object color and recognize landing location color using single color sensor

I am using TCS2300 color sensor

can we able to detect the object using color sensor instead of ultrasonic sensor

Please advice

Can you test the color sensor to see what kind of signal it produces, when exposed to various colors?

Does it output a particular volt level?
Or does it output 3 signals representing red/ yellow/ blue levels (red/ green/ blue)?

Is the signal analog or is it digital?

The object should be illuminated with white light. If room lighting is too dim then your robot needs to carry its own headlamp. Dim light may cause your color sensor to 'see' a wrong color and thus it produces wrong readings.
