How detrimental are gate charge and input capacitance (Ciss) for N-MOSFET switching (0v-max Vgs) speed? Which bares more importance to optimum speeds?

You know that gate charge depends on the capacitance, so asking what is more important is the wrong question because one makes the other.

The gate charge curve (drawn for your specific application parameters) along with the Cgd curve can tell the switching speeds and its behaviour.
