Hi,

I want to use the MAX1415 for a new design. Table 2 in the datasheet (https://datasheets.maximintegrated.com/en/ds/MAX1415-MAX1416.pdf) shows the peak-to-peak resolution vs gain and output data rate.
If I look for instance at datarate 20Hz in buffered mode, I calculated the accuracy in uV for any given gain and resolution for a 1.25V reference.

Code:
Then this table comes up:
Gain	1	2	4	8	16	32	64	128
bits	16	16	16	16	15	14	13	12
ref (V)	1,25	1,25	1,25	1,25	1,25	1,25	1,25	1,25

Acc (uV)	19,07 9,54 4,77	2,38	2,38	2,38	2,38	2,38

You can see that after a gain of 8, the accuracy in uV is the same. That happens ofcourse because the resolution decreased, but then why should one need a higher gain(PGA), if the absolute accuracy stays the same?
