Dear All,

I have been working on switching ON/OFF two devices using Traic which are opto-triac driven.

So far ON/OFF is working fine. My schematic is as attached.

The problem is when I switch ON Lamp 1 - and keep Lamp 2 OFF , still I get (120V between Line and Neutral)

If I switch OFF Lamp 1 - the voltage goes off.

Can you please suggest what I might have missed?

Hi,

still I get (120V between Line and Neutral)
Between Line (L) and Neutral (N) there should be 220V continously, independent of lamp status.

I assume the voltage you measure is elsewhere. --> Please show where you measure the voltage.
Additionally post a photo of your circuit.

Klaus

Also, your schematic is wrong - it shows the gate shorted out to MT1...
