RS232 is wiring standard or protocol ? Its get confusing when i gone through google answers.
What is the basic difference between wiring standard and protocol?

Hi,

Yes looking at unreliable google hits will result in confusing informations.

But why don't you look for the RS232 standard text? This is the most reliable source of information.

Or why don't you look at wikipedia?
