Instead of draining your weekends over shopping at Costco or watching Netflix, letÂ’s form a spark team to dive into analog IC design over weekends (or weekdays for some). The idea is to define a topic to work on a topic or an idea that can be realized (or prototyped if itÂ’s an idea) in a 0.35 micron or 0.18 micron process. I do have a tool platform in mind, however IÂ’m gonna keep it discreet at the moment.
It was the Saturday morning of Homebrew Computer Club at Stanford Linear Accelerator Center that led (rather encouraged) Steve Woz and Jobs to dive deeper into building computers. Maybe this weekend club could be it - in realm of IC design.
