If i want to send data and clock signal, with 5V level voltage (TTL level) and 2Mbps speed over Cat 5 cables, how long maximum in meters it is can do before signal become unreadable?

Thankyou.

Hi,

There are too many unknown parameters. An answer is impossible to give.

Thus:
* Don´t transmit a 5V single ended TTL signal over a long distance with a CAT5 cable.
* Use the twisted pairs of a CAT5 cable combined with symmetric drivers like RS485/RS422.

Doing it differentially as Klaus suggests, and with properly terminated connections, you should be able to send 2Mb/s over several hundred meters but bear in mind the TTL output is generated by the differential receiver, it probably wouldn't be TTL level along the cable.

If you want to send it single-ended (1 wire for ground, 1 wire for signal) I wouldn't trust it beyond maybe 20cm.
