GUI programming for instrumentation application

Please suggest commonly used language for developing gui for interfacing instruments interface by RS485,USB etc (similar to labview). I know embedded c programming and have to create such gui for testing instruments.
 

GUI is a graphical library. It is not related to interfaces anyhow. I don't get your point.
 

Consider Qt. Not particularly a "language", but the most popular multi platform GUI programming tool.
 

LabWindows/CVI (LabView like with a C interface)
