Very Low Current LED

Pamcho may simply be having some low quality LEDs or those made with very old technology. I remember buying a 100-pack of red LEDs some 30 years ago during a visit to a city (I live in a small remote town). When I got home, I was disappointed to see that the LEDs were just bright enough to serve as power indicators at 10mA and useless below 5mA. Modern LEDs are very bright at 1mA and very visible at 100uA.
