[Moved]: "stimulation site" and "stimulation channel" in implantable electronics

Hi All, I am reading some papers in the field and implantable electronics and confused about the "stimulation site" and "stimulation channel". I am not sure what are the differences between them and how can we relate them to each other?

I have searched a lot of places but did not find the answer yet. Would anyone give me some advise and give me some references that I can look into?

Thank you!
