hi All

According to this diagram, what is the rating of the current transformer ?
This is a 1HP 3phase induction motor starter with over current protection circuit.

thanks

Hi,

NOMINAL current specification usually is written on your motor. Or at least cos(phi).

Now you have to specify the OVERCURRENT condition.
This defines the current transformer rating.

Current ratting not mentioned but we can calculate from motor power
For 1HP 3phase motor full load current for each phase should be 3.7A max

Full load current.png

So the CT should be above full load current, 10A CT should work
