tms470 arm

Hi
I want to use IAR for program and debug that controller.
Please tell me something about ISP (in-system programming). I heard the word "wiggler", but I'm not sure will it work with IAR?
Maybe someone could upload any schematics, links etc?

Thanks in advance for any hejp.

Hi

The TMS470 is ARM7 best microcontroller there for you can use any wiggler that support ARM controller

The IAR software is using special USB JTAG wiggler who works only with IAR software and it cost about $200

If you want to use the TMS470 from TI you will need a compiler debuger who support the TMS470 and a compatiable wiggler

I have used the IAR + Olimex board + J-link and it download the code to the RAM - all working well.

All the best

Bobi

Can the Xilinx Parallel Cable III be used for JTAG programming ARM devices such as the TMS470?
