Hi

If we are using 78 pin or 50 pin or any other D type connector for transferring high speed digital data (consider data rate of 10Mbps), so is it necessary to connect all the 4 corner pins of the connector to digital ground.

If it is so why?

Thanks

Not particularly ground the corner pins, but you need to provide sufficient number of ground pins for low inductance ground connection, specifically when using single ended signal connections.
