Hello everyone,

Do you know how to increase the numbers of the points calculated in the template based postprocessing in CST?

Please refer to the attached file.
I simulated S-parameters of an T-coaxial connector and got S11 (the blue line in the attached file) directly from the 1D results in the navigation tree.
And I aslo used another way to obtain S11 by taking FFT of the reflected signal (o1,1 in the port signals) in the time domain. The result based on this way is the red line in the attached file.
As you see the line is rough. How can I increase the numbers of the points calulated to get a smoother plot?
Or are there any other ways to get a smoother S-parameter plot?

Best regards,

Micasa,

Hello Micasa,

I hope I understood your question correctly,
go to "Transient Solver" -> "Specials..." -> "Solver".
Under the frequency settings section you'll find the number of samples CST uses,
Increase it and see what happens.

Good luck,
P.

w8 a second.... now I see your plots...

I have'nt tried it myself but :

go to the "Port Signal" on the 1D result folder.
Export the o1,1 signal to ASCII file and try using FFT on this signal.

PLZ tell me if it works...
P.
