Difference Mobile travel charger/ power adapter/simple charger

Mobile charger: Obviously meant for charger mobile phones. Output voltage in the range of 5-5.25V. Generally it will have an internal current limiter to protect against short circuits and excessive charging current.

Power adapter: Meant to act as a source of power, either general purpose or for a specific product. Comes with various output voltages which may or may not be regulated. It may or may not have short circuit protection.

Simple charger: A vague term. Probably for charging rechargeable cells with a rudimentary element (may be just a resistor) to limit (but not regulate) the charging current. Not likely to have a circuit to detect the state of charge and switch it off at full charge.
