Need to design Voltage regulator using mosfet

Hi,

I need to design a voltage regulator using N channel mosfet, Can any one share some design Ideal for this, My requirement is given below I tried some circuit but pratically it's not working.

Input = 500 to 700V
Output required : 300V
Load current is 0.8 mA

What is the problems it is working well in LT Spice two zener used because 300V zener is not available
 

The RC circuit that smijesh added is extremely important to soft-start the circuit and prevent gate-source breakdown.

Resistor value used is 4.7K mosfet : IRFBC20 capacitor not used load : not connected

Below is my circuit I am getting 0.3V output and my mosfet is heating
Instead of going direct high volt I tested with low volt zener diode and its not working please help me to solve this issue.

Take voltage readings on ALL THE NODES and write them down on the schematic.
