Hi

I'm trying to identify an SMD IC that is used in the front end of the Futaba R3006SB radio control receiver. I think that it is most likely a PIN diode attenuator working in the 2.4 GHz region, but it could also be an RF preamp.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Thanks
Andrew

On second thoughts, I think it's more likely an RF preamp (LNA). I've attached an image showing the associated components.

Mystery Rx IC_DxO.jpg

The signal input is at pin 4 (top left in the image) and output at pin 1 (bottom right). A bias voltage is fed in to pins 1 and 3 via decoupling caps, and an additional RF choke in the case of pin 1, which is also the output.

The package size is approx. 1.5mm x 1mm excluding the leads.

Thanks
Andrew
