RS485

Now, i am trying to interface with the RCA cable of a depth transducer. This cable's length is more than 3 meter. Should i apply the RS485 for this device? Besides, anyone have any idea for interfacing the RCA cable?
Thanks!

Re: RS485

Hi

you didn't say what is your transducer and what is it's output. but if tou
want to transmit serial data, for length less than 20 meters, you can use
rs232, for longer than 20, that is beter to use rs485.
