for medium range wireless control, which has the less noise between infrared and radio frequency. which one is better?

telemetry project

Hi,

It all comes out to distance and cost.
So what is the distance we are talking about? both ways can send info almost at the same speed, so you are left with the obsiticales that are on the way and can lower the IR and make it useless.

telemetry project

IR would be easy than RF to implement, however SNR depends on your design.

Re: telemetry project

when you are talking about telemetry i think you mean large distances so, you will need rf devices, while the infrared offers you a maximum distance of 12m inline of sight.

about noise you better use fsk fm modules and use an a good prtocol to link your modules.

for more information look at these documents

Re: telemetry project

If u are to use them in sunlight, avoid IR. The IR solution is for indoor, small distance use.
Its advantage is that is simpler in implementation.
