Hi All,

I'm simulating my structure which is of micrometer scale in HFSS-17.1 and using transient solution type with network analysis. Desired operating frequency is 1.6 GHz but when I start analyzing it, after few hours it gives me an error that : Port refinement, process hf3d error: Failed to solve port 2, solving at too low frequency is a possible cause.

I also tried it upto 10 GHz but the problem remains.

Please suggest me how to eliminate this error.

The possible ways out could be
1. Make sure that port is defined properly.
2. Check your mesh settings and try to refine it as sometimes bad mesh also results in such type of errors.
I am confused that why it takes hours to give you the mentioned error.
What is your model and what System you are using to solve this model
Going to higher frequency is not solution

Thanks Nomigoraya.

I'm working on IC model and using high computational speed server to solve this model. It seems to me that due to high complexity of model, server taking a lot of time.

For the port, I'm using waveport & will try to refine the mesh.

After completing simulation, I'll update this thread.
