howcan we increase EEPROM Endurance

every EEPROM has a limited no of write/ erase

how can we increase life-time for EEPROM ?

Re: howcan we increase EEPROM Endurance

by reducing the cycle use down to the optimum rate ?
by do not subjecting the device to high temperatures ?

Re: howcan we increase EEPROM Endurance

I think the answer says: You can't increase the endurance above the specified range. I'm not sure about the temperature point. Number of cycles isn't usually specified to be temperature dependent. Long term data retention is, but that's a different topic.

Re: howcan we increase EEPROM Endurance

For example, in vehicles mileage counter they are using increasing smallest value. Mileage saved in a few adresses. And each time only the smallest will be increased. Thus all of them used in equal conditions.

Assume an EEPROM performs individual byte or word write and memory cell wear can be calculated per memory cell, you'll try to apply wear leveling by modifying the data coding or use a distributed storage scheme. This methods doesn't actually increase the endurance rather than reduce the specific write rate per memory cell.
