Architect SW schedule, HW timing & energy consumption using RAD750 virtual prototype

We, at Mirabilis Design, have constructed a virtual model of a multiple board RAD750. Using the VisualSim graphical technology, designers can experiment with distributing software tasks across the network of RAD750, analyzing the timing delay of large data size for imaging applications, and hardware configurations like adding a L2 cache. The virtual model can be simulated for different workloads, orbit schedule and trace files from previous missions.

In this Webinar, we will demonstrate how a mission team could make use of this virtual platform to size the hardware, identify system bottlenecks and, graphically visualize the power and performance of the proposed system. User can construct models of the software tasks, use spreadsheets to assign the tasks to processor and define data stream rates. The output from the simulated model can be analyzed for reliability, timing deadlines, and instant power consumption.

Key Takeaways:

  1. Use simulations to explore a system with multiple RAD 750
  2. Learn how to configure a virtual model to create customized implementation
  3. Make decisions on the output reports.
