Hello

I am working as an adhoc assistant prof. in a college in India.
Our college have signed an agreement with SCL,Mohali and obtained their PDK for academic purpose.
I am trying to integrate that PDK with freeware tools such as Electric/Symica.

I am struggling to do that.

Please help.

Thanks & Regards
Gopal

That usually doesn't work. PDKs are too complex these days, and foundries will make an effort to support the minimal number of vendors.

Even if you could hire an experienced CAD technologist, this could easily become a task that would take months, depending on the complexity of the PDK.

Gopal,
use nay genric 0.18 model. they will work with SCL.

Symica : No layout possible with DRC /LVS free layout tools not available.
Simulation : free 300 nodes max, bias info (i, V) incomplete . level 49 models will work. simulation OK.
Graph : Average , calculator function limited.
SCl model will work. Symica clone of IC5141.

Electric : poor tool , no bias point info bad tool.

better options : Cadence, Mentor , tanner actual PDK you will have to wait .

initially begin with LTSpice and layout tool (https://layouteditor.net/). here you can with effort build your own matching PDK.
another good option is try for simulation/ design CPPSIM.
cheers
