Hi to all,
I have using the M12 Inductive proximity sensor, which having the 4mm sensing distance. If i want to increase the distance means, what i should do? Is there any sensor having larger sensing distance. May i need 15mm sensing distance..

Thanks,

Hi,

With that informations...I honestly ask myself what answer do you expect?

* changes in circuit?
* mechanical changes? Like drilling a hole into the sensor...
* buying another sensor?
* installing an 11mm thick metal plate?
* replacing the sensor's internal circuit?

Hi KlausSt,

Replacing the Sensor Circuit. But i doesnt have the circuit for the Proximity Sensor. I just having the Green M12 PNP NO Sensor. If i develop the circuit for the proximity sensor, what should i do? is there having any existing circuit for the same?

Thank You,

Can I get the sample circuit for this type of sensor.

"Inductive Proximity Sensors with long sensing range - up to 29mm. in 2-wire AC and 3-wire DC models."

This sensor having 29mm sensing distance.

Hi,

If you want to develop a new sensor then
first you need to specify a lot of things:
* Supply voltage (range)
* environmental informatin (temperature range, humidity...)
* output signal (digital, analog, what interface, what voltage/curennt range..)
* Size (I assume it is about impossible with an M12 size)
* reaction time
* mechanical stress/ruggedness
* precision, thresholds, hysteresis (for digital)
* reference material ... opposite of your sensor
* ...

I once was involved in the development of 100mm distance inductive analog measurement system. It was a challenge. Many months.
