Page 231 to 232 of the book (switch mode power supplies) by Christophe Basso has an expression for the Small signal power stage transfer function of a voltage mode buck-boost converter.

The pages are attached.
At the top of page 232, there is an expression for “Q” as follows…..

The expression is “D’.R.SQRT(C/L)”

Shouldn’t it be “D’ * (1/R) * {SQRT(L/C)}” ?

I have not read this book so can not help much.
However, if you have doubts about a book, you can read its errata file.

If your book is Switch Mode Power Supplies: SPICE Simulations and Practical Designs, its errata file is here:
http://cbasso.pagesperso-orange.fr/Downloads/Book/All corrections first edition.pdf

I have found that on Basso's website (http://cbasso.pagesperso-orange.fr/Spice.htm).

I could not stay without saying this:p
Here is a review written by someone on that book on Amazon founding mistakes and Basso's reply to what that guy said.

Re: Expression for "Q" of power stage transfer function is incorrect?

Actually Basso is correct, i was comparing it with the 1/R.SQRT(L/C) formula which i am used to in Q factor discussions.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Q_factor
....so yes Basso is correct, its for parallel circuit, not series

i am not trying to knock Basso's book, specially since Basso is the only author that i know of that has expanded the smps feedback loop with optocouplers. Basso's book is also superb on transfer functions (small sig) of converters.
