Hey
What is the difference between dsPIC30F4011-20 and dsPIC30F4011-30?
As I said.
Any ideas?

The speed grade.

You should learn to read datasheets.

What's the point of creating two versions of the same chip with different "speed grade"?!

Same chip design, just differences in the transistors that make up the chip. In some cases the chip doesn't operate as fast and therefore is binned in a slower speed grade, so they can sell more chips instead of tossing them and reducing yields.

If a chip manufacturer could produce all chips at the highest speed grade without fail they would mark all of the chips with that speed grade, especially as they can charge more for faster parts.
