i m using NEOWAY GSM module M590, it is full functional GSM/GPRS serial module it reponds all the AT commands but one problem is there it does not reponse if some interval b/w AT commands is there for 4 or more seconds, its like it goes in sleep mode, it wakes only if we press any one of key from keyboard for a long time untill unless that key is printed on hyper terminal after than it again starts working and if we again do some interval in AT commands then again we have to press a key for long time. i have used this command which is for power save "at+enpwrsave?" which shows that its power saving mode is disables, i have enabled and again disabled this but no difference,
if any one is using this module plz suggest me why the problem of delay is there

Regards

Is your circuit is correct as per the data sheet. What is the key you are pressing to activate the module? re-verify the circuit once again.

Study the below points and follow before proceeding which is menitoned in hardware design manual:

* Power ON/Off Process

* Module abnormality recovery

* VCCIO Pin description

the module and pin diagram is attached, i m following wiring diagram as shown in fig, when it starts it write "modem startup"
then writes +pbready after than i can write AT commands
like AT
AtD0000000;
AT+CMGF=1
AT+CSCS="GSM"
EACH command respond OK if i continued writing commands then every thing works fine but i wait for some time then nothing will written then jusst by pressing enter keys or any other key for long it reponds again from last where it left, (not completely from begining)

regards

problem is solved by applying AT+enpwrsave=0(never go into deep sleep),
By default it is already 0, but still it was going into sleep, so it is necessary to again apply it 0 each time when module is power ON.

So, Kindly mark this thread as solved. So that it will be useful for other peoples
