hi every one ,
pls tell me whether v can use lithium batteries(220mAh) for rtc to avoid mis count in pulse. its seems non rechargeable battery but battery withstand for 5year backup at 500nA discharging at standby mode they said.my question is if v dont charge the battery how it long last for more than 5 year or whatever the years? pls suggest some battery for rtc ic.

Be it a Lithium battery or the nuclear reactor of the latest Russian submarine - you can use any DC power source
As long as it produces a DC voltage level that's within the operating range of your RTC.

Google "Panasonic battaries" - they make quality products.
