Hi,

I am trying to do a flyback converter using linear technology's LT3573:
http://cds.linear.com/docs/en/datasheet/3573fd.pdf

Following their design example/steps, the turns ratio and primary inductance are calculated first: turns ratio.png inductance.png

Is it ok to go about designing a transformer in this way? And how do I begin to do so?
