Hello,
I am new to computer networks, help me out in understand this.
Both audio and video communication are possible through many internet protocols, how they are different from mobile phone communication.
In mobile communication I could see many antennas all the way which helps to establish connection with other in a given range. Through which means we are able to make audio and video conversations over the internet that too connecting entire world.

Thank you.

For mobile communication, when someone call then a signal goes to switching center for conversion(to landlines, other network provider, same network provider under different tower) via mobile tower. After that receivers phone ring. For internet voice call the signal goes to website server( if you are using skype then skype server, Using google then google server) then send the signal to receiver. For internet calling the signal traveling long distance so internet calling is slower than mobile communication.

Are all the techniques for enabling communication between 2 computers same as that of mobile communication except that signalling process that you have mentioned. Unlike phone calls they need to take long way and require permissions from many interlinked servers then how is live conversations possible. Where are the antennas located to regenerate signals apart from the main server radiating antenna.
