1)i need to familiar with gpio and sensor interfacing for my new project.

i am working in c programming device driver programming and microcontrollers.

what all to be needed to familiar with raspberry pi. ?

I am a newbie to raspberry pi. can anyone suggest me how to proceed with serial communication. I appreciate if anyone guide me with an example code.
