Capacitor Leakage datasheet confusion

You are talking about two unrelated properties. Leakage is caused by a parallel resistance, ESR is a series resistance.

If the plates are very closer the leakage will be more. yields you more capacitance value.
if the plates are too thinner then the ESR will be high. gives a compact size.

But there is no relation between this two.

For a smaller sized capacitor these both will be in the worst case.
