[SOLVED] Mplab ide stack size setting ?

Hi all ,

I have problem to increase size of stack in MPLAB IDE
In Project => Build Options => Linker
Stack size setting is disabled
How can I increase the stack size ?

which version of MPLAB and which toolsuite are you using?

using MPLAB V8.89 and XC16 I see

which compiler are you using (XC8, MCC18, XC16, XC32, etc)?
may be worh upgrading to the latest MPLAB and compiler
can you post a screenshot showing the problem?
 

normally when programming in C, the compiler takes care of everything.
 

I see you are using XC8 compiler which appears to have a fixed stack size, see discussion

and try reading section 5.5.2.2.2 of the XC8 compiler manual

if you have an application that is running out of stack space it could be time to upgrade to a PIC16, dsPIC or PIC32 whill allow one to set stack and heap size
