Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me if the lead/lag controllers are the same as PI and PD controllers? For example in a buck converter control schemes it is used a type 3 compensator. Sometimes a type 2 can be used however I don't understand if this type 2 compensator is a PI PD or PID or even a lead/lag compensator or has nothing to do each one to each other.

What are the differences between them?

There is anyone here familiar with those?

Regards.
