Hello,
Does 56uH sound too low a inductance value for a 650W BLDC water pump (three phase BLDC)?
The rotation speed is 8000 revs/minute.
The voltage at the DC Link is 34V.
The motor coil current is said to need to be 20Amps.

I would have thought such low motor coil inductance was unsuitable for a pump?...and more for a highly dynamic servo motor?

Hi treez
How did you measure it ? from where ? is that star or perhaps delta ?
What kind of motor is that ? ( what kind of arrangement it deals with ?

The motor engineer told me each of the three coils of the 3ph bldc is 56uH. He told me he thinks this is very low, but he didn't know why the senior engineer had chosen it to be so low.

Again it depends of the real characteristics of your motor . first , try to measure it yourself . 2nd , again it depends on type of your motor if the designer designed such a motor , be sure he/she had a reason for that . can you take a photograph from your motor ? cave that any part number ? can you contact the manufacturer ?
