Hi everybody,

I am newbie in the aspect of Design for Testability (DFT). I just heard that there are some tools for this theme such as FlexTest of Cadence, Mentor graphic,...
But I do not know what is better and I should begin with which tool?

Is there anybody have experiences in this aspect? Pls give me some advices to go faster!

Thanks,

scan insertion - Synopsys DFT Compiler
Atpg - Synopsys Tetramax, Mentor Fastscan, Cadence Testde

synopsys dc can insert dft scan and generate atpg
and my people use it, i think it is good

Mentor Tools for FastScan and others are also equically popular among DFT users

There aren't anybody talk about DFTadvisor?
I heard that it is a good tool for DFT?

I mean DFT, not Test

Now I am using Tetramax of Synopsys . I deem that it is very good!

Hey,
if you are interested in Board level DFT.....
then there are tools...based on JTAG.....these tools are used to identify...board level faults...like stuck at 1,0 shorts, opens....

tools are :

1. Scanworks-- from Asset-intertech
2. DFT manager -- from Corelis

thanks
sagar

mentor's test tools are better,
but using DC the design flow will be very simple.

Yes, I agree that Mentor and Synopsys's tools are better on ATPG. I remember Mentor's tool even can help to improve the test coverage.
