As promised my when to allow the admin to ban my account name change wasnt done

a forum moderator (big dog) advised me the only way to change my name is to ban my account. As changing my name was essential to me, I gave gave permission to that person to ban my account.

But as he promised my name is not changed to "banned" and it is still an active link to my account page.

All that has happened is I cannot log in. Everything else remains same. I wonder why what was promised to me is yet not delivered and I am disappointed at Edaboard.com about this issue. I had faith at the forum moderator with all the respect.

I insist the words be kept.

Can you provide us a copy of the message you received from bigdogguru regarding the option to ban your account?

This is done by a ban process, on what your account is removed from forum profile list.
All your threads keep posted, but your name turn to the term "banned" instead of "myname".

the point you raised is off the topic of this thread I believe. But here is my answer to that question anyway. There is nothing to hide when my name is clearly mentioned (as username) on the post. A person who knows my name and knows about my projects can figure who I am by just one post. I hope I am clear. please ask if there is still anything to be clarified with regard to that.

I would be grateful if you can provide what was promised to me by you as you have already accepted that. the reason I agreed to ban my account is clearly mentioned in the above post.
I.e. I have been promised a name change to " banned" after I agree to ban my account.
I dont think you mentioning it was a misleading information you provided me by mistake would change any damage done.

And we insist that you observe and follow the forum rules!


Regardless of this situation, you have repeated violated many of the forum rules receiving numerous warnings and infractions.

Even after giving you the opportunity to begin a new account, you immediately violated several more forum rules.


1. Our system logs show that you not only registered mindbender_lk, but additional user accounts some with obscene user names.

2. You used one of these user accounts to post an inflammatory thread with pornographic material of which I was clearly the target.

3. And now, you accuse me of making statements, promises and guarantees which in fact I did not make.



The EDABoard forum was not intended for displays of such infantile behavior.

We have attempted to accommodate you and offer you a second chance to start anew, alas without success.



Therefore you are permanently banned from this forum, effective immediately.

Any user accounts registered in the future will also be banned.


I sincerely hope you find a forum which better suites your needs.
