Dear,
I want to build a PATCH_ antenna for my Wire Less Phone (CDMA) 1900MHz.
I have no experience of RF/Antenna.
Did any one build by self? please help.
I have already seen some nice topics and infos on net.
thanks
Sadat

The best way to design a p@tch antenna is to use an EM simulator. If you don’t have something like this, or you don’t know how to use it, here is a link that shows how to build a 1.9GHz p@tch antenna, having dimensions and even formulas if you want to make for a different frequency.
**broken link removed**
You have to find the parameters of your board material (Er, thickness, etc), because p@tch antenna design is very sensitive to these parameters.

Well I must say that in my opinion, building at patch antenne is a pretty advnaced task. What kind of patch antenna did you have in mind? A microstrip? For simulations i strongly recommed IE3D. try to aquire o trial version from:
www.zeland.com
Regarding litterature i recommend followinr books:

Antenna Theory Analysis and Design by Balanis
Microstrip Antenna Design Handbook by Bhartia
Planar Antennas for Wireless Communications by Wong

The latter show several planar antennas and present the simualtions

Good luck and best regards
